판타지 드라마에 재현된 정의구현과 폭력의 문화정치학 - <시그널>과 <시공래전>의 비교를 중심으로 (The Cultural Politics of Justice and Violence Reproduced in Fantasy Dramas - Focused on the comparison between and )

초록

본 연구는 폭력의 문제적 현실을 다룬 판타지 드라마 <시그널>과 그의 중국 리메이크 드라마 <시공래전>을 대상으로 드라마에 재현된 각종 폭력과 정의구현을 비교 분석하였다. 서사를 둘러싼 문화의 공통성과 변용에 초점을 맞추어 폭력의 문제적 현실의 근원을 고찰하였다. 제도를 뛰어넘어 시공간을 초월한 연대가 정의의 부재와 폭력이 난무하는 현실 상황을 극복할 수 있는 대안으로서의 가능성이라는 드라마 서사의 사회적 기능을 탐색하였다. 이를 계기로 권력의 폭력을 재현한 드라마의 분석을 통해 한·중 두 나라에서 문제적 현실 속 권력의 폭력의 근원을 밝히는 비교연구의 공백을 메우리라 기대한다.
장기미제사건으로 표현되는 과거의 폭력과 책임의 부재 그리고 이에 저항하는 삶의 고통을 재구성함으로써 구조적 폭력의 문화 정치학을 살펴보면서 억눌려 왔던 대중의 목소리와 당대 사회적 의미를 포착한다. 한·중 두 드라마의 서사를 비교 분석함으로써 문화적 공통성과 회피의 문화적 변용을 고찰하여 어떤 정치적, 문화적, 이데올로기적 배경에서 비롯되었는지를 탐구한다. 더 나아가 인간성 내면의 특징을 통찰하며 권력의 횡포에 맞선 진실 추구의 깊은 문화적 함의를 밝혀낸다. 시공간을 초월한 연대라는 판타지를 통한 정의실현으로 현실 속 폭력에 대한 저항의 가능성을 재조명한다. 궁극적으로 과거를 성찰하고 미래를 모색하는 데에 한·중의 문화 공유와 공감을 재사유하여 공평과 정의를 지향하는 공통의 대안을 구축하고자 하는 시도에 의의를 둔다.

영어초록

This study compared and analyzed violence of various kinds and the realization of justice in the fantasy drama that reproduced the problematic reality of violence in both <Signal> and Chinese remake drama <Spatiotemporal call>. It focuses on the cultural commonality and transformation surrounding narrative so that investigate the root of the problematic reality of violence. Then explore the possibility of an alternative to overcome the reality of the absence of justice and rampage of violence via solidarity to transcends time and space, which known as the social function of drama narrative beyond the system. It is hoped that fill the gap in between Korea and China about analyzing reproduced the violence of power in the medium of drama by revealed the source of the power violence in the problematic reality of comparative research.
Through reconstructing the past violence and the absence of responsibility, together with the suffering of life that resists the violence expressed in long-term unsolved cases, this study explores the cultural politics of structural violence and meanwhile catch the repressed public voice and the social meaning. By means of comparatively analyzing of the narratives in Korean and Chinese dramas, it investigates the cultural commonality and avoidant cultural transformation and explores what political, cultural, and ideological backgrounds that they came from. Further, it has an insight into the inner characteristics of human nature and reveals the deep cultural implication of a pursuit of truth against the tyranny of power. It re-examines the possibility to resist violence in reality via that fantasy of transcending time and space achieved justice. Ultimately, it is meaningful that rethink about the cultural sharing and sympathy of both Korea and China by introspecting the past and seeking the future, so that attempt build a common alternative for the aim of fairness and justice.
