Data has been collected from the references and domestic and international academic journals and books regarding Korean residents in Japan and Korean athletes residing in Japan for 7 months between November 2013 and May 2014 and 8 Korean soccer players residing in Japan were selected to perform in-depth interview in order to achieve the objective of this study. The following conclusion has been derived from the result of such survey. First, Korean soccer players residing in Japan are Japan-oriented for the future and has been assimilated with such trend. Due to the characteristic of being Korean residents in Japan in the Japanese society, the players were still restraint in many ways. Second, the Korean residents in Japan are changing their identity as if they are somebody else. While the oppression and discrimination and systematic problems in Japan incur the conflicts among the Korean soccer players residing in Japan, the more severe problem is the way that Korean people view the Korean residents in Japan. Since Korean people have prejudice that Korean residents in Japan and Korean soccer players residing in Japan are like Japanese people and are people who are different from Korean people, the Korean residents in Japan lie between Korean and Japan and become somebody else. Third, Statelessness soccer player. All most players think to want play and no have country.
