현대중국어 복수동사구문 유형 연구 (A Study on Mandarin Chinese Plural Verb Constructions)

초록

본 논문은 문장의 난이도 발생의 중요한 원인 중의 하나가 술어로 쓰일 수 있는 동사의출현 개수와 관련이 있을 것이라는 전제 하에 동사가 두 개 이상 출현하는 복수동사구문(Plural Verb Constructions)의 유형을 분류하고, 복수동사구문의 유형별 출현빈도와 그 변별난이도, 복수동사구문 유형의 출현 개수와 문장의 복잡도의 상관 관계를 살펴볼 것이다. 18가지복수동사구문의 유형은 다음과 같다.
A류 복수동사구문: 連動文, 兼语文, 축약문, 동사중첩문, 동사병렬문, 긍정부정의문문, 동사복사문B류 복수동사구문: 명사 수식, 동사의 목적어, 개사의 목적어, 주어, 결과보어, 방향보어,가능보어, 정도보어, 부사어, ‘是’ 강조구문, 조동사복수동사구문 가운데 출현빈도가 높은 유형을 먼저 학생에게 가르칠 필요가 있다. 출현빈도가 가장 높은 복수동사구문은 동사가 관형어로 쓰여 명사를 수식하는 유형이고, 그 다음으로 높은 것은 동사가 직접목적어로 쓰인 유형이다. 복수동사구문의 약 1/5(19.18%)이 명사를수식하는 관형어이므로 관형어를 쉽게 구분할 수만 있어도 문장구조 파악이 쉬워진다. 또한서술식 문장이 대화식 문장보다 그 구조가 복잡한데, 11가지 복수동사구문의 유형이 한 문장에 쓰인 예도 보인다.
이 논문은 복수동사구문이라는 새로운 문장 유형의 개념과 동사를 중심으로 한 중국어의문장 복잡도 개념을 제시했다는 점에서 의미가 있다고 하겠다. 복수동사구문과 문장 복잡도개념은 중국어 교수법에서 활용이 가능할 것이다. 또한 앞으로 보다 많은 문장을 대상으로한 중국어 텍스트의 복잡도 연구로 발전할 수 있기를 기대해 본다.

영어초록

This paper analyzes the types of Plural Verb Constructions, in which two or more verbs appearin one sentence, in order to find out a desirable methodology of reading comprehension in modernchinese texts. The target of analysis is intermediate and upper level texts composed of 805 phrasesor sentences classified by punctuation marks. The purpose of this study is to present somescientific implications for reading comprehension in Chinese by examining the frequency of eachtype of Plural Verb Constructions and the level of difficulty between those types. The 18 types ofplural verb phrases and sentences are as follows.
⋅A-type plural verb sentencesserial-verb sentences, pivotal sentences, compressed sentences, verb reduplication sentences, “shi”emphatic sentences, juxtapositional verb sentences, “ma” interrogative sentences, verb repeatingsentences⋅B-type plural verb sentencesadnominal phrase, object of verb, object of preposition, subject, resultative complement,directional complement, potential complement, degree complement, adverbial, auxiliary verbsWe should teach students high frequency types in Plural Verb Constructions among the 18types for the first. The most frequent occurrence in Plural Verb Constructions is that the verb isbeing used as an adnominal phrase which modify a noun. The next highest is the type used bythe verb as a direct object. Because around 1/4(24.6%) of Plural Verb Constructions is anadnominal phrase, it is easy to grasp the sentence structure once students could distinguishadnominal phrases. Also, the educational method for reading comprehension should be changedaccording to the narrative sentence and the interactive sentence. The structure of interactivesentence is more complicated than that of the narrative sentence. The most complicated case is that11 types of Plural Verb Constructions appear at a time only in one sentence.
현대중국어 복수동사구문 유형 연구 287I consider this paper contributed to the development of educational methodology for Chinesereading comprehension in many ways. First, the concept of a new sentence type of plural verbphrase was clearly discerned. Secondly, the method of reading comprehension based on verb typesin Chinese text was systematically presented. I also hope that I would be able to more develop toanalyse the complexity of Chinese texts by studying much more sentences.
