초록

This research intends to understand in phenomenological way the WTF and ITF Taekwondo's developing process that had been center of big vortex of change since 1960 that Taekwondo entered into public in full scale via qualitative research method and its stature and form of matches of South and North Korea. To achieve the goal of this research, phenomenal in-depth interview method from Taekwondo experts has been adopted. South Korea's Taekwando resulted from this research's study for its stature takes about 1,000 new movement with 17 statures including Taegeuk 1-8 chapter, Goryo, Kumgang, Taebaek, and North Korea's ITF Taekwondo names it into frames composting 24 frames and 3,200 movements which refers them to historical characters like Dangun, Chungmoo, Elji. In method of contest, the biggest difference between competition method of both parts is that North Korea allows "attacking face with fist", and South Korea forbids "attacking face with fist" for the purpose of protecting players. This difference has led North Korea's Taekwondo to develop its hand techniques and South Korea Taekwondo foot techniques in various ways.
