초록

본 논문은 조르조 데 키리코(Giorgio de Chirico)의 형이상학 회화(Metaphysical Painting)에서 제기된 세계 이해의 표현 방식이 니체의 언어와 글쓰기 방식에서 나왔다는 전제를 바탕으로 한다. 데 키리코는 1910년대에니체의 글 읽기를 통해, 니체의 언어에서 나타나는 시적 은유의 이미지들이갖는 언어의 기표들과 시각적 기표들을 그의 화면 속에서 동시에 결합시키는회화적 글쓰기를 시도했다. 본 논문은 니체가 자주 사용하는 언어의 은유적기표들 중에서 건축물과 건축술을 데 키리코가 그의 화면에서 어떻게 회화적으로 글쓰기를 하고 있는 지를 알아보고자 하는 것이다.
니체는 건축물을 은유적 이미지로 표상해내는 것과 아울러 미학과 연결된표상으로도 사용하고 있다. 즉 예술적 의지를 갖고 건설한 장소들이자 지식을추구하는 자의 건축물(architecture of the knowing)을 의미한다. 이것은칸트의 ‘지식의 건축술로 지어진 건축물’의 개념을 파괴하고자 하는 것이다.
니체의 심미적 태도는 의도적으로 체계성을 부정하는 것이므로, 그의 가상세계는 “지식을 추구하는 자”에게 세계를 非건축술적으로 바라보게 하는 방법을제공하는 것이다. 이러한 방법적 전략들 중 하나가 관점주의(perspectivism) 이다. 이러한 사상의 회화적 글쓰기는 데 키리코를 통해 르네상스 이래로 원근법으로 구축된 화면 구조의 체계성이 부정된 형식으로 나타난다. 즉 니체의 다수의 관점은 다수의 원근법들로 형상화되어, 한 화면에 여러 개의 소실점을가진 화면 구성으로 나타나 르네상스의 건축술이 부정된 체계가 된다.

영어초록

The thesis is based on the preposition that Nietzsche's verbal images and writing methods had influence on the methods of expression in the Metaphysical Painting of Giorgio de Chirico. Through reading Nietzsche's books at the 1910s, G. de Chirico realized that Nietzschean verbal images have an image of poetic metaphor. So G. de Chirico made an attempt on pictorial writing that combined the Nietzschean linguistic signifiant with the visual signifiant coincidently in his painting. G. de Chirico especially had an interest in some metaphorical signifiants of Nietzsche's favorites. These are the metaphors about architecture and an architectonic in Nietzschean verbal images. And so, this thesis researches how G. de Chirico tried to write pictorially on his picture with Nietzschean metaphors.
Nietzsche used architecture as two ways of representations that the one is metaphorical image and the other is connected with aesthetics. The former means the places constructed with kunstwollen, and the latter refers to the architecture of the knowing that destroys the Kant's conception about the building of an "architectonic of all knowledge". Nietzschean aesthetic attitude denied a schematization deliberately. Therefore, the recurrent appearances in his philosophical discourse provide a way "for the knowing" to view the world nonarchitectonically. The one of his methodical strategies is "perspectivism". This thought, such as perspectivism, was translated to pictorial writing by G. de Chirico. It appeared as the form denied the schematization of the structure of picture plane which constructed by Renaissance perspective. That is to say, G. de Chirico interpreted Nietzsche's perspectivis,m as the formation of multiple perspectives.
His pictorial composition has multiple perspectives with multiple vanishing points. Thus, G. de Chirico's picture plane becomes the schematization which denied the architectonic of Renaissance.
