<연구노트>강화 외포리고창굿의 변화상 -당주무당의 굿당 신령 좌정을 중심으로 (Changes of Ganghwa Oipo-ri Gochang-gut -Focusing on Gut-dang Sinryeong Jwajeong of Dangju Mudang)

초록

이글에서는 강화도 외포리고창굿의 변화상을 2023년 연행 양상을 바탕으로 살폈다. 특히 보유자 역할을 하다가 별세한 정정애 만신의 초상화를 고창굿당에 대신할머니 무신도로 봉안하는 과정에 초점을 맞추어 의미를 제시했다. 먼저 외포리고창굿의 개략적인 흐름을 제시하고 그동안 이루어진 조사 성과를 비교하여 온전한 굿거리 구성이 필요함을 제시하였다. 그리고 정정애 만신 초상화가 고창굿당의 대신할머니 무신도로 봉안된 것을 외포리고창굿이 당주무당이 모든 것을 주관하는 무형문화재 굿으로 지속되어 온 현실, 정정애 만신이 사후에도 외포리고창굿의 중심 역할을 하기를 바라는 정정애 만신 가족의 입장, 초대 보유자로 고창굿 전승에 힘쓰면서 마을을 위해 노력한 정정애 만신의 의미가 이견을 없애는 핵심이 되기를 바란 마을 주민들의 입장, 상업이 중심이 되면서 더 이상 외포리고창굿에 관심을 보이지 않는 마을 문화가 복합적으로 작동한 결과로 보았다. 생전에는 마을굿을 주재하다가 사후에 초상화를 마을당의 무신도로 봉안한 사례는 흔하지 않다. 특히 대신 신령이 가지고 있는 의미를 고려할 때 정정애 만신의 초상화가 대신할머니 무신도로 봉안된 것은 외포리고창굿이 현재의 변화상을 수용하여 활로를 모색하려는 시도로 보았다.
현재 외포리고창굿은 이견이 어느 정도 해소되어 각자 역할에 충실하면서 마을 어촌계와 협조 속에 굿 전승을 온전하게 하려 애쓰고 있다. 정정애 만신이 별세하였고 뒤를 이은 무녀 전승교육사가 자진 탈퇴한 지금의 현실에서 무당굿이 온전하게 이어지기에는 여러 애로가 있을 것으로 보인다. 하지만 정정애 만신의 초상화를 봉안하면서 새로운 길을 찾은 것처럼 외포리고창굿도 새로운 마을굿의 모습을 보여줄 것이라고 기대한다.

영어초록

Under this article, the changes of Oipo-ri Gochang-gut in Ganghwa-do has been sought on the basis of the processing trend of 2023. In particular, it has presented its implication by focusing on the process to enshrine the portrait of Jeong Jeong-ae Manshin (manshin – almighty shaman) who passed away while engaging in the role of possessor with the Mushin-do (painting of shaman) of Daeshin Halmeoni (Halmeoni: Granma) on the Gochang-gutdang. First of all, it presents the outlined flow of Oipo-ri Gochang-gut and compare the survey outcome compiled up to this time, to present the need of complete gutgeori (event and movement of shaman dance) composition. And, enshrinement of the Jeong Jeong-ae Manshin portrait into the Mushin-do of the Gochang-guedan’s Daeshin Halmeoni is deemed as the result of integrated operation for 1) reality to sustain Oipo-ri Gochang-gut as the gut of intangible cultural heritage to manage all things by the Dangju Mudang, 2) position of the family of Jeong Jeong-ae Manshin that desire to undertake the central role of Oipo-ri Gochang-gut even after the passing of Jeong Jeong-ae Manshin, 3) position of the village resident who desired to be the core part to remove the opinion with the implication of Jeong Jeong-ae Manshin who placed effort for the village while working hard on the succession of the Gochang-gut as the initial holder, and, 4) village culture without showing any interest in Oipo-ri Gochang-gut any longer while the commerce has become the focal point. It is not so frequent to find a case of presiding the village-gut in her life time and enshrine the portrait on the Mushin-do after her death. In particular, when considering the implication contained within Daeshin Spirit, the portrait of Jeong Jeong-ae Manshin enshrined the Mushin-do of Daeshin Halmeoni that is considered as an attempt to seek for viable path by accommodating the current changes of Oipo-ri Gochang-gut.
Currently, difference in opinion for Oipo-ri Gochang-gut has been resolved to a certain degree to substantiate the respective role in a way of placing effort to fully succeed the gut under the cooperation of the fishery village. Under the situation where Jeong Jeong-ae Manshin passing away, the shaman succession educator that succeeded her position voluntarily withdrew, indicating that there are a number of difficulties to hand-down the mudang-gut in its full-scale. However, as the new path was found by enshrining the portrait of Jeong Jeong-ae Manshin, it is expected to have the Oipo-ri Gochang-gut displaying the appearance of new village-gut.
