초록

In modern sports, result is emphasized than process which is victory-oriented, result-oriented and performance-oriented. Therefore, most sportsman are only going for the victory in the field. There are no rules or laws, and they only boost their strength to the triumph for their team. It seems that sportsmanship disappeared long time ago they are willing to infringe rules to win without a moment’s hesitation. In this study Good Foul is defined as a irregularity such as a violation of regulation and a foul play for their team. In addition, some spectators urge to do Good Foul and even to cheer players without realizing Good Foul matters. So in modern sports, those have been issues that Good Foul has been used as strategies and tactics. That is, some athletes consider Good Foul as a scapegoat for the team and this is the current status of modern sports which is trying to take advantages from fouls. As a resulting solution, this study suggests pursue process-oriented and the need of an attitude on facing the Good Foul. Triumph is one element, not everything. Matches should be focused on process like athletes’ best efforts and deep impression of the audiences. Good Foul is not supposed to damage essential meaning of sports and also unacceptable act. Consequently, a severe punishment and consolidating regulations are presented as a solution to prevent making unfair profit from Good Foul.
