부모와의 관계경험과 하나님 표상 형성의 상관관계에 관한 목회신학적 연구 (A Pastoral Theological Study on The Correlation between The Parent-Child Relationship Experience and The Formation of God Representation)

초록

본 연구는 부모와의 관계경험과 하나님 표상 형성의 상관관계에 관한 목회신학적 고찰이다. 본고에서 필자는 존 볼비의 애착이론을 중심으로, 어린 시절 돌봄을 제공해준 중요한 인물, 특히 부모와의 관계경험이 향후 개인의 하나님 표상의 형성과 구체적으로 어떠한 상관성을 지니는지를 살펴보고, 그러한 상관성에 내포된 목회신학적 함의에 관하여 고찰해보았다. 인간의 관계경험, 특히 어린 시절 부모와의 관계경험은 내담자 혹은 교인이 견지하고 있는 하나님 표상과 밀접한 상관관계가 있다. 아이는 가장 중요한 대상인 부모 표상을 이용하여 하나님 표상을 만들어내기 때문이다. 부모와의 긍정적인 관계경험을 통해 안정애착을 형성한 사람은 하나님 표상도 긍정적이고 안정적일 수 있으나, 부모와의 관계경험이 부정적이어서 안정애착에 실패한 사람은 하나님 표상도 부정적이고 불안정한 모습일 수 있다. 부모와의 안정애착에 실패한 자녀는 다른 원천들을 통해 안정애착을 추구하려 한다.
따라서 일종의 ‘영적인 가족’으로 비유되는 교회공동체는 부정적인 하나님 표상을 가진 채 불안정한 애착유형으로 살아가고 있는 교인들을 위해, 그들 내면의 내적작동모델과 하나님 표상을 건강하고 긍정적인 모습으로 변화되어가도록 도와줄 수 있다. 이와 관련하여 필자는 크게 세 가지 사항에 관한 목회신학적 고찰을 시도하였다. 우선 필자는 교회공동체가 중간대상으로서의 기능을 수행함으로써, 다양한 상처와 아픔을 가진 교인들에게 안전하고 수용적인 치유의 공간을 제공해주어야 함을 강조하였다. 다음으로, ‘영적인 부모’로서의 상징성을 지닌 목회자가 교인들에 대해 민감성과 수용성, 협력성과 높은 정서적 접근성으로 반응해줌으로서, 건강한 ‘모성적 돌봄’의 제공자로서의 역할을 감당해야 함을 피력하였다. 마지막으로, 필자는 교회공동체가 구성원들의 내면을 온전케 하는 치유의 공동체로서 보다 잘 기능하기 위해, 신학적 관점이 기존의 죄책감의 신학에서 수치심의 신학으로 전환될 필요가 있음을 주장하였다.

영어초록

This paper is a pastoral theological study on the correlation between the parent-child relationship experience and the formation of God representation. It is investigated pastoral theologically on the correlation between the relationship experience with the primary care giver in early childhood, especially the parent, and the formation of God representation. There is the correlation between parent-child relationship experience in early childhood and the formation of God representation. Child shapes the God representation by means of the parent representation. Person who had formed the stable attachment pattern due to the positive relationship experiences with his parent would have formed the stable and positive God representation. But person who had formed the unstable attachment pattern on account of the negative relationship experiences with his parent would have formed the unstable and negative God representation. The child who has failed to form the stable attachment pattern would seek it through other sources.
Generally, the church community is likened to a ‘spiritual family.’ Church community as a spiritual family should provide healthy ‘mothering-care’ for the church members who have formed the unstable attachment pattern and live with negative God representation. With this healthy ‘mothering-care,’ the church members can modify their own ‘internal working model’ and God representation positively.
As a result, this article suggests that the need of the role of church community as a ‘transitional object.’ Church community as a ‘transitional object’ can provide the members with a secure, receptive and healing place. And then, it is emphasized the need of the role of pastor as a healthy ‘mothering care giver.’ Pastor with the symbol as a ‘spiritual parent’ can provide the members with the sensitive, receptive, cooperative and highly accessible ‘mothering care.’ Finally, to achieve the more effective functioning of church community as a healing group, it is proposed the need of the transition of the theological perspective from the guilty theology to the shame theology.
