단원 김홍도 아들 연록(延祿)과 양기(良驥) 이름 연원(淵源)에 관한 연구 (A Study on the origin of the name Yeon-rok and Yang-gi, son of Danwon Kim Hong-do)

초록

본 논고는 조선 당대 최고의 도화서 화원으로 칭송되는 김홍도의 아들 ‘연록’과 ‘양기’ 이름의 연원(淵源)에 대한 선행연구에 대해 면밀하게 고찰하고자 한다. 즉, 연록과 양기 이름이 언제 어떻게 시작되었는지를 문헌자료 분석을 통해 일목요연하게 논증하여 김홍도 부자 학술연구에 기여하고자 한다.
김홍도 아들 연록 이름의 연원은 조선총독부내무부지방국 편, 명치44(1911). (朝鮮總督府內務部 地方局 編. 明治44), 조선사찰사료(朝鮮寺刹史料) ‘연풍군 공정산 상암사 중수기(延豊郡公正山 上菴寺重修記)’(이하 상암사 중수기)의 득사(得嗣)에서 시작된다. 연록과 양기 이름은 국립중앙박물관 소장 단원유묵첩(檀園 遺墨帖)에서 확인된다. 단원유묵첩은 김홍도 부자 관련 내용을 확인할 수 있는 매우 소중한 유물이다. 「상암사 중수기」는 을묘년(乙卯年, 1795년) 2월 하순에 풍계거사(楓溪居士)가 짓고, 가경(嘉慶) 2년 정사년(丁巳年, 1797년) 윤(閏) 6월일 김천택(金天澤)이 새겼다. 현재 상암사(上菴寺) 터는 백두대간 조령산(鳥嶺山, 옛 공정산公正山) 8부 능선에 있다.
도화서 화원 김홍도는 정조(正祖) 어진동참화사(御眞同參畵師)의 공으로 1791년 12월 22일 연풍현감(延豊縣監)에 제수(除授)되어 약 3년간 봉직(奉職)하였다. 김홍도가 현감으로 부임하기 전부터연풍에는 가뭄이 심각하여 현감 김홍도는 1792년 상암사을 찾아 기우제를 지냈다. 아울러 자신의녹봉(祿俸)을 시주하고 이 산(상암사)에 빌어 48세의 늦은 나이에 아들을 얻었다고 한다. 그 아들아명(兒名)이 연록(延祿) 인데, 즉 김홍도가 현감 봉직시에 나라로부터 녹(祿)을 받을 때 얻은 아들이라하여 연풍의 ‘연(延)’ 자와 녹봉(祿俸)의 ‘녹(祿)’ 자로 ‘연록’이라 한다. 양기는 후일 개명한 이름으로 추정하고 있다.

영어초록

This thesis aims to clarify the origin of 'Yeon-rok' and 'Yang-gi', who was the son of the most famous artist of Do-Hwa Seo; to contribute to the academic research on the names of Kim Hong-do and his son Yeon-rok and Yang-gi has been begun by analyzing literature data.
Kim Hong-do and the origin of his son's name Yeon-rok begins in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Joseon Dynasty, Myeongchi 44 (1911) Joseon Temple Hiaterialsstaterials 'Yeonpung-gun, Gongjeong Mt. Sang-am Temple restoration Monument. 「Samg-am Temple Restoration Monument」; Story of their story starts in section Deuk Sa (birth of Son). The name Yeon-rok and Yang-gi can be found in 「Danwon Yu-Muk Cheop」, a collection from the National Museum of Korea. 「Danwon Yu-Muk Cheop」is one of the most important relics to find Kim Hong-do and his son's history.「Samg-am Temple Restoration Monument」was the built-in the end of February 1795, by Poong–Gae- Guh-Sa; in June 1797, Kim Chun-taek write on the stone. Currently, the Sang-am Temple is located on the eighth ridge of Joryeong Mt. (formerly Gongjeong Mt.) in the Baekdudaegan Mt. range.
Kim Hong-do the painter of the Do-Hwa Seo was rewarded by Great King JungJo, by drawing King's Portrait, on December 22nd in 1791, he was assigned as Yeonpoong- Hyeongam for 3 years. Before Kim Hong-do was in the Hyeongam position, there was a severe drought in the Yeonpoong area; Kim Hong-do went to Sang-am Temple in 1792 to pray for the rain. Also, he donated his salary to the temple, and pray for his first son, and had a son when he was 48 years old. The son's name was Yeon-rok which is a temporary name given to a child when they were young, The son's name was Yeon-rok, which the son obtained when Kim Hong-do received the rust from the government when he served as a Hyeongam, so his name was given as Yeon from Yeonpoong area, rok (nok) came from Nokbong (salary). Yang-gi is presumed to have changed when he was an adult.
The primary reference of this thesis was 「Sangam-temple Restoration Monument」 「Danwon Yu-Muk Cheop」, Choi Sun-Woo 「Danwaon Kim Hong-do's Retirement solidarity」(Art Material No. 11, 1966), and Oh Ju-Seok 「Danwaon Kim Hong-do special exhibition to celebrate the 250th Birth Anniversary」 (1995). The main reason for choosing these bibliographies are as followed. 「Sang-am Temple Restoration Monument 」 is the first piece of literature that Kim Hong-do has a son later his age, 「Danwon Yu-Muk Cheop」 is a book made by Yang-gi and given to his father, and only record that shows his child name Yeon-rok, Choi Sun-Woo's 「Danwon Kim Hong-do's Retirement Solidarity」 introduced 「Danwon Yu-Muk Cheop」 for the first time. Oh Ju-Seok 「Danwon Kim Hong-do Special exhibition Paper」 is also another material that can confirm the record of Yang-gi followed by 「Danwon Kim Hong-do's Retirement Solidarity」.
