초록

우리나라의 현대장신구 분야는 뛰어난 작품성으로 전 세계적으로 인정받고 있으며 이를 뒷받침 할 수 있는 학술적 연구의 중요성 또한 높아지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 우리나라의 현대장신구 분야의 학술 연구경향을 정리하여 연구 유형별 정리를 실시함으로써 국내 현대장신구분야 연구의 발전양상을 파악하고 향후 지속될 연구주제의 설립을 위한 기초자료로 활용 될 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 현대장신구의 발생 및 영역의 구분을 정리하였으며 현대장신구의 정의를 고찰하고 특징을 분석하였다. 연구방법은 문헌조사를 바탕으로 양적분석방식으로 실시하였다. 또한 본 연구를 위한 연구대상과 범위는 최근의 연구 동향을 파악하기 위해 2000년도이후 국내에서 진행된 현대장신구 분야로 한정하였다. 이를 위해 국내에서 발표된 학위논문과 국내 학술지의 연구가 검토되었고 각 연구는 목적과 주제에 따라 30여 가지 항목으로 분류하였다. 먼저 학위논문의 경우 작품논문 대비 이론논문의 비중이 적은 것으로 조사되었으며 이를 통해 이론연구 분야의 잠재된 연구 과제의 발굴 가능성이 높음을 확인 할 수 있다. 학술지 연구의 경우 질적분석방식을 통한 동향분석연구가 높은 건수로 집계되었으며 이는 양적분석방식을 통한 동향분석연구의 필요성을 방증하는 결과로 해석 할 수 있다. 학위 및 학술지연구 모두에서 전통적인 요소의 재해석과 같은 주제의 연구 빈도수가 눈에 띄게 높게 나타났다. 이는 한국적이고 독특한 디자인을 발굴하고자 하는 학계의 의지가 높음을 시사한다, 또한 다양한 분야와 현대장신구의 융·복합을 통한 연구가 꾸준히 발표되고 있는 것으로 나타나 향후 우리나라 현대장신구 분야 연구의 실험적이고 혁신적인 발전이 지속될 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구의 결과가 국내 현대장신구 분야의 연구동향을 분석한 기초자료로써 활용될 수 있기를 바라며 현대장신구 분야연구의 양적이며 질적인 발전 모두에 기여하기를 기대한다.

영어초록

As Korea is well known for its contemporary jewelry with its sophisticated and outstanding skills, the importance of academic research has become much greater. The purpose of this study is to organize the academic research trends in the field of contemporary jewelry in Korea and to organize them by research type so that they can be utilized as basic data for the establishment of research topics in the field of contemporary jewelry in Korea. For this purpose, the origin and the filed of contemporary jewelry are summarized, the definition of modern jewelry is examined, and its characteristics are analyzed. Quantitative analysis methods were utilized for this research based on reviews on relevant literatures and document. In addition, the target and scope of this research were limited to the field of contemporary jewelry which has been studied in Korea since 2000 to grasp the recent research trends. Accordingly, thesis and journals published in Korea were reviewed, and each research was classified into 30 items according to the purpose and subject. First of all, in the case of thesis, the proportion of theoretical papers which have been published was found to be small compared to that of work papers. It shows that the possibility of finding potential research projects in the field of theoretical research is high. In the case of journal research, the number of trend analysis research using qualitative analysis method was high, which can be interpreted as an evidence proving the necessity of trend analysis research through quantitative analysis method. In both thesis and journal studies, the number of research on subjects such as reinterpretation of traditional elements was considerably high. This shows that the academic community's willingness to discover Korea’s own unique design is high. It is also expected that experimental and innovative developments in the research of contemporary jewelry in Korea will continue in the future as research through the convergence and combination of various fields and contemporary jewelry has been published consistently. It is also expected that the results of this study can be utilized as basic data analyzing the research trends in the field of Korean contemporary jewelry, and contribute to both the quantitative and qualitative development of research in this filed.
