초록

본 연구는 2007 개정부터 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 5~6학년 음악 교과서의 가창 활동 관련 국악 제재곡의 내용을 분석하고 개선 방향을 제시하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 먼저, ‘2007․2009․2015 개정 교육과정의 가창 활동 관련 내용’, ‘교과용도서 편찬상의 유의점 및 검정기준’, ‘제7차 및 2007 개정 국정 음악 교과서의 수록곡’ 등을 검토하였다. 이후 본격적으로 음악 교과서의 내용을 분석하였는데 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 교과서의 악곡은 전래 동요, 민요, 국악 창작 동요, 시조, 판소리 등의 갈래가 수록되어 있었고 악곡으로는 쾌지나칭칭나네가 가장 많이 수록되어 있었다.
둘째, 가창 제재곡 악보의 형태와 내용을 분석한 결과, 악보의 형태는 여전히 오선보가 주를 이루었으며 시조는 대부분 정간보와 가락선이 결합된 형태로 제시되었다. 악보의 내용에서는 출처와 관련하여 ‘편보’라는 말이 중의적인 의미로 사용되고 있었고 장단 표기 또한 같은 곡이지만 다르게 표시된 곡들이 있었다. 민요의 지역권은 남도(전라도), 동부(경상도)의 순으로 많았으나 교육과정이 개정될수록 특정 지역권 집중 현상은 점차 해소되었다.
셋째, 학습 활동은 주로 ‘시김새 살려 부르기’, ‘노랫말 바꾸어 부르기’, ‘메기고 받으며 부르기’ 등이 많았다. 2015 개정에 들어, 이전 교육과정에 비해 활동이 다양하게 제시되고 있었지만 여전히 정형화된 활동들에 집중되는 양상을 띠었다.
이와 같은 분석 결과를 반영하여 다양한 갈래의 가창 제재곡 수록, 가창 활동에 적합한 악보의 구안, 갈래에 따른 학년 연계 학습 강화, 다양한 가창 학습 활동 제시, 정확하고 상세한 악보 정보 기입 등의 개선 방안을 제시하였다.
앞으로 음악 교과서의 내용에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지기 바라며 본 연구가 차기 교육과정의 교과서 집필 과정에 도움이 되기 기대한다.

영어초록

The study aims to analyze the contents of Korean music pieces for class use associated with signing activities in music textbooks for 5th and 6th grade in elementary schools from the 2007 revised curriculum to the 2015 revised curriculum. To this end, it reviewed ‘the contents related to singing activities under the 2007․2009․2015 revised curriculum,’ ‘instruction and standards for the compilation of curriculum books,’ and ‘music pieces in the 7th and 2007 revised national music textbooks.’ The findings of the study are as follows.
Firstly, the music pieces of the textbooks included several genres such as traditional children's songs, folk songs, newly composed children's songs, sijo, and pansori. The most included music piece was Kwaejinachingchingnane.
Secondly, the result of analyzing the forms and the contents of musical scores for vocal pieces revealed that the staff notation was still mainly used for the form of musical scores. As for sijo, a combined form of jeongganbo and garakseonbo(melodic contour notation) was mostly presented. In the content of the scores, the word ‘pyeonbo(編譜)’ was used in a vague sense in relation to the source. In some cases, the jangdan sign was differently marked for the identical song. The regions of folk songs that received attention the most were in the order of Southern area(Jeolla-do) and Eastern area(Gyeongsang-do), but as the curriculum was revised, the concentration of specific regions gradually resolved.
Thirdly, learning activities mainly consisted of ‘singing with expressing sigimsae (musical ornaments)’, ‘singing with changing lyrics’, and ‘singing in call-and-response’. As the 2015 revised curriculum began, learning activities were presented in a variety of ways compared to the previous curriculum, but they were still focused on standardized activities.
Reflecting the result of the analysis, the study suggested improvement plans, such as including vocal pieces of different genres as learning materials, creating music scores appropriate for singing activities, reinforcing learning through linkage across grades according to genres, and presenting various learning activities for singing, filling in accurate and detailed musical score information.
It is hoped that further studies on the contents of music textbooks continue to carry on and that this study is helpful in the process of writing textbooks for the next curriculum.
