리모델링관련 국내 선행연구 경향 분석 -디자인 및 계획계 문헌을 중심으로- (Analysis of Domestic Research Trend on Remodeling -Focused on Design and Planing Research-)

초록

(연구배경 및 목적) 리모델링은 친환경성과 경제성 등 다양한 장점 덕분에 노후화된 건축문제를 해결할 대책으로 주목받고 있다. 그러나 기존 건축물의 틀에서 작업해야 하는 리모델링은 신축이나 재건축보다 디자인 개선 및 계획에 한계가 있어 차별화된 대안이 필요하다. 따라서 관련 연구를 통해 개선안을 찾는다면, 리모델링 산업을 발전시킬 뿐 아니라 국내 노후 공간을 개선하는 데에도 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 리모델링 연구 중 디자인 및 계획계 문헌의 동향을 파악하여 향후 연구들의 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 또한, 기존 연구의 문제점 및 보완점을 찾아 리모델링 연구의 발전을 도모하고자 한다. (연구방법) 리모델링의 개념 및 정책 변화를 살펴보아 본 연구를 분석하기 위한 기초자료를 제공한다. 기존의 리모델링 연구를 게재연도, 키워드, 연도별 키워드, 연구방법, 연구결과의 유목(類目)별로 나누어 경향을 내용 분석(content analysis)한다. 구체적으로 빈도 분석 및 게피(Gephi)프로그램 을 통한 네트워크 분석을 한다. 연구의 대상이 되는 리모델링 관련 문헌을 추출하기 위해 학술데이터베이스(DB)에서 제공하는 디자인 및 계획계 관련 논문 100편을 전수 조사하여 그 성향을 파악하였다. (결과) 첫째, 리모델링 연구는 2000년도 초반부터 증가 추세를 보이다가 2008년 이후 하락세를 나타냈다. 이는 2000년대 초반 실시된 리모델링 지원 정책과 2008년 재건축 규제 완화 정책 등 해당 시기의 정책적 영향을 많이 받은 것으로 사료된다. 둘째, 공동주택 리모델링과 관련된 연구가 가장 많았으며 해당 연구의 영향력도 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 전체 연구에서 공동주택 연구가 차지하는 비율은 점차 감소하고 있는 데 반해 다른 분야에 관한 연구는 다양하게 진행되고 있다. 친환경 리모델링, 교육시설, 의료시설, 노인 관련 연구가 활발히 진행 중이며 도시재생 관련 연구가 최근 대두하였다. 셋째, 연구방법은 기존 리모델링에 대한 사례조사가 가장 많았는데, 다방면의 연구결과 도출을 위해 앞으로 다양한 조사방법이 시도되어야 할 것으로 보인다. 아울러 소비자의 요구를 파악하여 리모델링 방안을 제시하기 위해서는 면접조사나 설문조사 등 심층 분석 조사가 더욱 활발해져야 한다. 넷째, 연구 결과는 기존 공간을 분석 및 평가하고 이에 대한 지침 및 방향을 제시하는 경우가 많았으며, 특징적으로 정책 및 제도 제시를 위한 연구가 다수 있었다. (결론) 리모델링 디자인 및 계획의 연구는 다른 공간디자인 연구와 다르게 정책 및 제도와 긴밀한 관계를 보이는 것이 가장 특징적이다. 공동주택 연구가 다수를 이루었으나 이는 점차 축소되고 연구의 주제가 사회·문화적 요인으로 다양화 되고 있는 중이다. 연구의 방법 및 결과으로 살펴보았을 때 기존 사례를 분석 및 평가하는 연구가 가장 많아 더욱더 다양화된 연구 주제 및 방법을 시도할 필요가 있다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 리모델링 관련 연구를 종적 횡적으로 발전시킬 필요가 있다.

영어초록

(Background and Purpose) Remodeling, as a measure to resolve deteriorating construction issues, is attracting attention for its various strong points such as eco-friendliness and economic efficiency. It is anticipated that finding improvement based on relevant studies would be highly helpful in developing the remodeling industry and making domestic deteriorated spaces better. This study, therefore, aims to provide basic data for further studies by analyzing the trends in the design and planning literature of remodeling research. This study also intends to address problems in existing studies and issues to remedy and promote the development of remodeling research. (Method) This study aims to provide basic study for analysis by examining the concept of remodeling and the political changes. To achieve the study purpose, content analysis of the existing remodeling studies was conducted after classifying them depending on the years of publication, the keywords, the study methods, and the study results. To be specific, frequency analysis and Gephi program-based network analysis were performed. For collecting literary data regarding remodeling, 100 papers on design and planning provided by Library Database (DB) were all investigated and the tendencies were analyzed. (Result) The study results are as follows. First, the remodeling studies began to increase in the beginning of 2000, but they have entered a downturn since 2008. It is considered that this was caused by the political effects of the times, such as the remodeling support policy enforced in the early 2000s and the reconstruction deregulation policy of 2008. Second, the studies on apartment remodeling occupied the largest proportion and they had the highest influence as well. The proportion of the studies on apartment housing has been gradually declining, whereas diverse studies on other fields are under way. Third, case studies on existing remodeling occupied the biggest proportion of the study methods. This means a variety of research methods needs to be attempted to obtain study findings from various angles. Fourth, the majority of the study results were to analyze and evaluate the existing spaces, and provide the related guides and directions.(Conclusion) The major characteristic of the remodeling design and planning studies is that they have close relations with policies and systems, unlike other space design studies. Besides, the proportion of the apartment housing studies has been reducing by gradation and the study topics have been diversifying, covering social and cultural factors. When it comes to the study methods and results, the majority of them were to analyze and evaluate the existing cases and this demonstrates there is a need to deal with more diversified study topics and methods.
