四時歌系 시조의 맥락과 노·찾·사의 <四季> -孟思誠의 <江湖四時歌>와의 관계를 중심으로- (In the context of Sasiga-line Sijo(四時歌系 時調) and Nochatsa(노찾사)' - Focusing on the relationship with Mang Sa-seong(孟思誠)'s )

초록

본고는 고전과 현대의 엮어 읽기 방법의 하나로, 대중가요인 <四季>를 사사가계 시조의 맥락에서 파악하고자 하였다. ‘四時歌’란 사시의 순환을 노래한 작품으로, 우리나라 사시가계 시조는 맹사성의 <강호사시가>가 그 출발이다. 이후 19세기 위백규의 <농가 구장>에 이르기까지 면면히 창작되었고, 고시조의 소멸과 함께 사시가계 시조의 명맥도 끊어지게 되었다.
이후 1989년에 발표된 대중가요 <사계>는 시대와 장르, 향유층은 다르지만 작품의 구성과 내용 등은 사시가계 시조의 맥락을 계승하고 있어서 흥미롭다. 이에, 본고에서는 대중가요 <사계>를. <강호사시가>를 중심으로 한 사시가계 시조의 맥락에서 고찰하였다. 이러한 대중가요 <사계>의 작품적 특성은 첫째, 四時의 순환, 엔딩의 반복, 후렴구의 삽입으로 구분할 수 있었다. 이것은 사시가계 시조의 전통을 계승, 또는 변용한 것으로 파악된다. 그런데 흥미로운 것은 사시가계 시조의 전통을 계승한 것은 물론, 그것의 변용 또한 사시가로서의 구성과 의미를 견고히 하는데 일조하고 있다는 사실이다.
사시가계 시조의 중요한 특징은, 사시의 순환 질서로 표상되는 자연의 아름다움을 묘사하는 가운데 시대의 대표적 이념이나 현실적 상황을 노래한다는 점이다. 따라서 <강호사시가>가 노래하는 ‘君恩의 찬양’과 <사계>가 노래하는 ‘노동 현장의 고달픔’에는 상당한 거리가 있지만, 양자 모두 시대정신을 표현했다는 공통점을 지닌다.
이로써 <사계>는 현대의 대중가요이면서 그것의 중심에는 고시조의 맥락을 수용하고 있음을 파악할 수 있었다.

영어초록

In this paper, I tried to grasp the popular song "Four Seasons" as one of the ways to read classical and modern texts. 'Sasiga' means a work that sings the circulation of four seasons. The first Sasiga-line Sijo is the Mang Sa-seong's <Ganghosasiga>. It continued to be created until the 19th century. And with the extinction of Old-Sijo, it was cut off.
Since then, the popular song <Four Seasons> released in 1989 is interesting because it has inherited the context of Sasiga-line Sijo even though the age, genre, and enjoyment are different. Therefore, in this paper, In the context of Sasiga-line Sijo centered on <Ganghosasiga>. The characteristics of this popular song <Four Seasons> can be divided into ; cycles of four seasons, repeat of ending, insertion of refrain. It is understood that this inherited or changed the tradition of Sasiga-line Sijo. What is interesting, however, is not only the inheritance of Sasiga-line Sijo's tradition, but also its transformation is also a part of solidifying the composition and meaning of Sasiga.
An important feature of Sasiga-line Sijo is that it depicts the natural beauty represented by the cyclical order of the four seasons while singing the representative ideologies and realistic situations of the times. Therefore, although there are considerable distances to the 'Praise of the king's grace' and 'the grimace of the workplace' in which the <Four Seasons> sings, both of them have the common point of expressing the spirit of the times. <Ganghosasiga> praised 'grace of the king.' And <Four Seasons> was pointed 'out the pain of the workplace'. Both of these things are very different, but they both have a common point in expressing the spirit of the times.
This shows that <Four Seasons> is a contemporary popular song, but at the center of it accommodates the context of Old-Sijo.
