    초록

    This research applied the generalizability theory to presenting the optimum number of competions to appropriately evaluate the athletic performance of the players of the each level of Korea women’s golf competitions. To do this, the scores according to the number of competitions were calculated using the Genova program through the records of the players who participated in the golf competitions from the 2015 middle school championships to the regular golf tours. The results of the analysis are as follows.
    First, the relative size of the error variances by variable is different. It was found that, in the size of the error variance elements of each group, the percentages of the error variance of the players’ individual differences were greater than the percentages of the error variance according to the number of competitions. Meanwhile, the percentages of the estimated value according to the interaction effect of the participants (p) x the rounds (r ) were high in all the groups except middle school competitions, and it was established that undistinguished error variances were acting on the golf competitions. Second, it was found that the generalizability index was low in most cases except middle school competitions.
    When the number of competitions was increased, the generalizability index was raised but the increase margin of the generalizability index according to the number of competitions was gradually decreased.
    And it was found that the optimum number of competitions was 4 days for middle school, 7 days for high school, 11 days for second division tours, 19 days for regular tour seed competitions, and 20 days for regular tours, showing that more competitions than now were required to appropriately evaluate the athletic performance of the players.
