조선시대 상의원 운영 체게로 보는 현대 미용기업의 경영 방법 연구 (A Study on the Management Approach of Present Beauty Enterprises on the Basis of the Operating System of Sanguiwon(Royal Tailor Shop) during Joseon Period)

초록

18세기 중반 산업혁명으로 인류는 획기적인 경제 성장을 이루어 왔다. 이러한 경제 발전은 기업을 탄생시켰고, 기업은 효율성을 강조하며, 우월한 경제적 성과를 낸 사람에게 더 많은 보상과 찬사를 보냈다.
인류는 점차 부가가치를 더 창출하려고 경쟁하는 기계의 부속품처럼 일하게 되면서, 인간본연의 가치를 상실하게 되었다. 오직 성과만을 추구하는 것이 합리적인 것처럼 여겨지게 되었고, 기업의 경영자도 성과만을 추구하는 것이 합리적인 경영으로 인식하게 되었다.
헌대 미용기업들 또한 이러한 시류에 편승하여 더 많은 이익과 성과를 창출하기 위해 마케팅에만 전념하였고, 기업이 해야 할 기본적인 책임을 소홀히 하게 되었다. 직원들은 회사와 자신을 분리시켜 생각하게 되었고, 회사는 잠시 자신이 머무는 곳으로 인식하게 되었다. 이러한 상황에게 직원들에게 회사에 대한 충성심과 애사심, 그리고 동료애를 요구하는 것은 무리일 것이다.
이 모든 것이 기업의 존재 이유에 대한 오해에서 비롯되었다.
이에 본 연구자는 조선을 500년 동안 유지하고 발전시킨 가치규범인 유교를 통해 인간중심의 경영, 신(神)과 인(仁)과 예(禮)을 근본으로 한 경영 모델을 조선시대 상의원의 운영체계를 통해 연구하였다.
조선시대 상의원의 운영 체계는 현대 경영학의 관점에서 보더라도 합리적이며 우수하다. 상의원의 운영체계를 통해 현대 미용기업이 이익의 극대화가 합리적인 경영인 것처럼 잘못 인식함으로써 벌어질 경영실패를 막고, 인간중심의 경영, 따뜻한 가족주의 경영, 공정하고 엄격하면서도 자애로운 경영이 사회와 기업과 직원 모두의 성공을 이루어 내고, 이를 통해 기업의 사회적 책임도 달성할 수 있음을 알게 될 것이다.

영어초록

Human beings achieved the innovative economic growth through the Industrial Revolution in mid 18th century. Such economic growth created enterprises and the enterprises gave more compensation and compliments to those who realized more distinguished economic achievement as emphasizing efficiency.
As working like a part of machine competing to create more added values, human beings gradually lost their intrinsic values. Pursuing only achievement was considered to be reasonable and even business leaders recognized pursuing only achievement as the reasonble management.
The beauty enterprises in modern days focused only on generating more profits and achievements as getting on such a trend and neglected the basic responsibility as the enterprises. The employees gradually considered themselves to be separated from enterprises and recognized the enterprises as the place where they stayed for a moment. In such situations, it is absurd to request loyalty, devotion to a company and comradeship to the employees.
All the phenomenon above were caused by the misunderstanding on the reasons for the existence of enterprises.
Thus, this paper investigated the business administration model based on faith, benevolence and etiquette, the human-focused business administration based on the Confucianism and the value system which enabled Joseon dynasty to be maintained and developed for about 500 years through the operating system of Sanguiwon(Royal Tailor Shop) during Joseon period .
The operating system of Sanguiwon(Royal Tailor Shop) during Joseon period was reasonable and superior even from the viewpoint of modern business administration. In accordance with the analysis on the operating system of Sanguiwon(Royal Tailor Shop) during Joseon period, the operating system of Sanguiwon(Royal Tailor Shop) during Joseon period will help to prevent the beauty enterprises in these days from potential failure in management caused by misunderstanding that maximizing profits would be reasonable management. Furthermore, it was identified that the fair, strict and benevolent management as well as human-focused management and affectionate familism management would induce the success of society, enterprise and an employee and enterprises could fulfill their social responsibilities through such endeavors.
