두 개의 정물화, 두 개의 현상학 －하이데거와 메를로-뽕띠－ (Two pieces of still life, Two features of phenomenology－M. Heidegger and M. Merleau-Ponty－)

초록

회화에는 하나의 ‘철학적 관념’을 허용하고 이탈하며, 심지어 우리가 미처 예기하지 못한 경지로 까지 이끌어 갈 힘의 여백, 달리 말하자면 ‘말하여진 채 말하여지지 않은’ 혹은 ‘말하여지지 않은 채 말하여진’ 시적 의미가 있다. “최초의 언어”가 (넓은 의미에서의)시라면, 시의 말은 철학적 언어의 본질이며 ‘시적 감각’은 철학적 지성의 본질이다. 이 글은 ‘시적 감각’ 속에서 복원한 ‘본질의 지성’으로써 탈(脫)근대의 ‘철학적 관념’을 달리 제출했던 하이데거와 메를로－뽕띠가 각각 ‘부재의 현상학’과 ‘현존의 현상학’의 논리로써 ‘고흐의 정물화’와 ‘세잔의 정물화’에 내렸던 의미해명을 경유, 탈근대의 더 나은 ‘철학적 관념’이 모색될 하나의 유력한 길을 ‘시적 감각’을 통해 제시하는 성취에 닿고자 한다. 이를 위해 이 글은 <하이데거와 메를로－뽕띠에게 먼저 있고 나서야 비로소 그들의 ‘철학적 관념’이 가능했을 ‘시적 감각’>의 전형에 다름 아니었던 <고흐와 세잔의 정물화 -여기서는 ≪끈 달린 구두≫와 ≪푸른색 꽃병≫- 의 감각>을 논의의 양축으로 삼아 <이전의 회화론을 제치며 ‘철학적 관념’을 새로이 생산하는 하나의 회화론이 또 다른 회화론 위에서 사용되는 가운데 ‘철학적 관념’이 재생산되는 과정>의 한 경우를 짚은 뒤, 회화의 ‘시적 감각’의 의미로서 함축된 근대극복의 성취와 한계 및 과제를 논급할 것이다.

영어초록

Painting that thinks mutely the proper essence of the world can be regarded as a “silent science.” And because of the painter's vision of continued birth there is the force of a margin in that painting, in which the force permits and flees a philosophical idea and moreover leads us to a stage that hands over an unexpected one. In other words the force is a rupture ; it is exactly the rapture of the poetic meaning as ‘what is said in the unsaid’ or ‘what is unsaid in the said.’ If language that speaks foremost is in a broad sense poetry, then the word of poetry is the essence of the philosophical language, and then ‘the poetic sensation’ is the essence of the philosophical intelligence in which a ‘philosophical idea’ originates. This paper lays its own purpose under clarifying the one of the gropes that are based on the ‘poetic sensation’ for the philosophy of post modern age, from which we can take a better way to the ‘real concrete-philosophy our contemporaries need.’
For such a purpose this paper first will be to go by way of ‘the essay on painting’ of M. Heidegger and of M. Merleau-Ponty who present differently post modernistic ‘philosophical idea’ through ‘the intelligences of the essences’ they restored uniquely in the poetic sensation of art. Looking for the former's phenomenological explication for the still life of Gogh and for the latter's that of Cezanne in order to practice that work, this paper -in using both the sensation of Gogh's the still life(≪Old shoes with laces≫) and that of Cezanne's the still life(≪Blue vase≫) as two axes, and in laying bare the process in which painting reproduces constantly a ‘philosophical idea’ that aries only after a poetic sensation of painting has been previously experienced -elucidates not only the achievement and limitation but also the task of the philosophy to overcome its own modernity.
