초록

본 연구는 한국 고액권 발행에 따른 사용하기 편리하고 휴대할 수 있는 소상인을 위한‘위폐감별기’제품디자인을 개발하여 기술 고부가가치의 상품화로 실현하는데 연구의 목적이 있다.
본 연구의 방법은 국내외 위폐감별기 시장동향과 국내외 위폐감별기 제조현황 및 특허현황을 파악하였고, SWOT 분석을 통해 대중화, 친밀감, 차별성의 3대 요인을 강화한 위폐감별기 디자인을 개발하였고, STP분석을 통해 시장세분화 변수로 작용하는 요인들을 검토하고 위조방지 요소인 홀로그램을 활용한 디자인 concept 및 Guide line을 구성하였고, Idea sketch 과정을 거쳐 3D Modeling 과 3D Rendering 디자인 연구를 통하여 최종 Mock-up 제품디자인을 개발하였다.
개발된 휴대용 위폐감별기를 소상인들이 사용함으로써 위조로 인한 피해를 예방할 수 있어 건강한 시장문화가 형성될 수 있도록 이바지 할 수 있다. 또한 위폐감별기 제조 회사에서 전략적 모델로 활용하여 기업의 유통경로를 확대시켜 국내뿐만 아니라, 세계시장에 수출할 수 있도록 경쟁력 있는 상품으로 발전시킴으로써 이익도 창출되고, 국가 브랜드 이미지를 부각시킬 수 있다.
향후 탁상용, 차량용, 펜형, 휴대폰 진위검사기 제품디자인을 개발할 때 본 디자인을 다양하게 응용한다면 신 시장을 개척할 수 있는 계기가 될 수 있다고 사료된다.

영어초록

This study purports to develop the product design for ‘a portable counterfeit currency detector’ for retailers that is easy and convenient to use, to meet a new need that is emerging with the coming issuance of large denomination bills in Korea, and furthermore, to realize it in the form of a product with high technical values.
This paper examined the trends in the domestic and the overseas market for counterfeit currency detectors, and the current status of counterfeit currency detector manufacturing and patents, both within and outside of Korea. Through SWOT analysis, the design of the counterfeit currency detector, in which three factors of popularization, amity, and differentiation are strengthened, was developed. Through STP analysis, the factors, which work as the variables of market segmentation, were examined, and the design concept and the guideline were organized, using the hologram which is a factor for the prevention of counterfeiting. Through idea sketching, a 3D modeling and 3D rendering design study was conducted, ultimately leading to the development of a mock-up design.
If retailers use the developed portable counterfeit currency detector, they can be protected from damage arising from forgery, which in turn will contribute to the formation of a healthy market culture. In addition, companies manufacturing counterfeit currency detectors can use this development as a strategic model, expand their distribution channels, and develop it into a competitive product that can not only be sold within Korea but also exported to the world market, through which profits will be created and the national brand image can be highlighted.
If this design is applied to the development of designs for desks, vehicles, pens, and mobile phones, it will create a further opportunity to develop new markets.
