干支의 존재 이유와 존재구조 (Reason for the Existence of the 10 heaven’s Stems and the 12 Earch’s branches and Structure of Being)

초록

역도를 드러내는 방법은 세 가지로 구분되는데, 이는 간지도수원리․하도낙서원리․괘효원리다. 유가경전 중 역도를 표상하는 대표적 서적인 『주역』에는 주로 괘효원리로 역도가 표상되어 있으며, 약간의 간지도수원리와 하도낙서원리가 언급되어 있다. 그리고 『正易』에는 주로 간지도수원리와 하도낙서원리를 위주로 역도가 표현되어 있으며, 약간의 괘효원리도 언급되어 있다. 간지는 10천간과 12지지로 구성되어 있는데, 『정역』에 의하면 천지지수에 의하여 생성된다. 그런데 천지지수로부터 천간과 지지가 생성되는 이유는 천지만물의 근원자와 그로부터 생성된 실체(작용의 주체)와 작용원리를 드러내기 위해서 천간이 필요하며, 그 실체가 작용하는 때(시)를 드러내기 위하여 지지가 필요하기 때문이다. 천간은 기와 무 그리고 실체를 상징하는 경․임․갑․병으로 이루어진 정령과 작용원리를 상징하는 정․을․계․신으로 이루어진 율려로 구성되어 있으며, 지지는 정령과 결부되는 자․인․진․오․신․술과 율려와 결부되는 축․묘․사․미․유․해로 구성되어 있다. 천간과 지지는 서로 결합하여 60간지를 이루는데, 이에 의하여 천도의 존재구조가 밝혀지고, 천도에 존재근거하여 천명과 인도도 밝힐 수 있는 것이다. 본 논문은 우선 천도의 존재구조를 밝히기 위하여 필요한 간지도수의 존재 이유와 존재구조를 밝히고자 한 것이다.

영어초록

There are three ways to reveal truth of the moral doctrine of changes: “providence of the number of the 10 heaven’s stems and the 12 earth’s branches”, “providence of Hetu·Luoshu”, “providence of Hexagrams”. Among these, providence of the number of the 10 heaven’s stems and the 12 earth’s branches is the most fundamental system of the moral doctrine of changes. The most representative book symbolizing 역도, Zhou-Yi represents mostly providence of Hexagrams’ and comments partly “providence of the number of the 10 heaven’s stems and the 12 earth’s branches” and “providence of Hetu·Luoshu”. Zheng-Yi reveals the truth of the moral doctrine changes mostly through “providence of the number of the 10 heaven’s stems and the 12 earth’s branches” and “providence of Hetu·Luoshu”, and comments on the providence of Hexagrams’.
The 간지 consists of the ten heaven’s stems and twelve Earth’s branches, which are produced by the number of heavens and earth, according to Zheng-Yi. However, the reason why the heaven’s stems and earth’s branches are created by the number of heaven earth is as follows: The heaven’s stems are needed to illuminate the origin of the universe, created substances from it and providence of action. The earth’s branches are needed to clarify the time when substances act. The heaven’s stems consist of 정령 which are composed of the 5th and 6th of the 10 heaven’s stems, the 7, 9, 1, 3th of the 10 heaven’s stems and 율려 which is composed of the 4, 2, 10, 8th of the 10 heaven’s stems. The earth’s branches consists of the 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 of the 12 earth’s branches connected with 정령 and the 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 of the 12 earth’s branches connected with 율려. The heaven’s stems and earth’s branches are combined each other to form 60 간지, which reveals the structure of being of 천도, and further the God’s will and humanity. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the reason for existence of the number of the 10 heaven’s stems illuminating the way of heaven and the structure of being.
