인간공학적 평가도구 OWAS를 이용한 미용업 종사자의 작업 자세 평가 및 근골격계자각증상 실태에 대한 연구 (Study on Working Postures and Symptoms Associated with MSDs for Beauty Parlor Workers Using OWAS)

초록

There have been many studies regarding work-related MSDs (musculoskeltal Disorders) since the law for MSDs prevention was enacted in 2003. However, there have been not many MSDs studies for beauty parlor workers. This study was divided into two parts for the total of 813 subjects. The first part of the study was conducted for ergonomic evaluation for working postures of main jobs in terms of nail-care, skin-care, make-up, and hair-care using OWAS (February 2010~June 2010). The second part of the study was conducted for surveying beauty parlor workers for their symptoms regarding MSDs (January 2010~May 2010).
The results from the evaluation by OWAS showed that foot-care job in nail-care part, back-care job in skin-care part,and jobs such as drying, shampooing, coloring, cutting, perming in hair-care part needed improvements in terms of MSDs prevention. The results from the symptom survey based on NIOSH criterion also showed that “low-back” & “arm” in nailcare part, “neck”, “shoulder” & “wrist” in skin-care part, “knee” in make-up part, and “foot” in hair-care part were major body parts associated with MSDs symptoms for beauty parlor workers. Therefore, interventions and prevention programs for MSDs of beauty parlor workers should be strongly suggested for good and healthy working environment in the future.
