1. Introduction
m of Korea on March 27th with my classmates and professor. Actually, this was my first time visiting art museum since I entered the University. Therefore, I was excited to visit the National Museum of Korea, but on the other side, I was worried that I would not appreciate the art works well. Fortunately, the professor explained about several art works clearly while looking around. There were some familiar art works while there were also many unfamiliar art works. The first art work that came into to my sight was Turtle-shaped Bottle which is from Joseon period, 15th century. Then, the gestures of Buddah’s hands took my attention. I didn’t go to the ancient temples that much times, so I have not paid attention to the Buddah’s hand gestures. When I got to the corner that exhibits the Buddah’s hand features, I realized that each respectively has different meanings.
