A few months ago, Obama had a positive address about English education system of Korea, but if we view the matter from another angle, we can find some problems. So, today, I am going to talk about the English education system of Korea through the actual condition, the problems, and the solutions of it.
First, the real condition of the English education of Korea
language to people who use English as a modern tongue, but to Korean it’s a big task and a necessity. To tell the exaggeration, Korean study English from when we were born to when we retire. For example, at least one major South Korean company requires



pportunities in this society and also have more time to invest their time in other activities. The biggest problem is that the private academies called “hakwons” are leading English education of Korea. It means that vicious circle like collapse of public education has led to a dependence on private education and that in turn has created more indifference towards the public system. According to the washing ton post, actually, many South Korean students spend their vacation away from home in academically intensive private academies for overseas exams including the SSAT, SAT, TOEFL, GRE and GMAT.
