II. Objectives
Terminal objectives:
1. Students will solicit and receive information by asking directions.
Enabling objectives:
1. Students will be able to understand a simple conversation about asking for direction.
2. Students will be able to comprehend and produce necessary vocabulary for this topic.
3. Students will be familiar with different types of map.
4. Students will be able to exchange information through simple conversation and find out where the final destination is located.
5. Students will be able to invite their classmates to their home using accurate instruction that indicates how to get there.
III. Students’ role and teacher’s role
Students’ role: Students will listen to the dialogue and elicit needed information. They will
draw a line along the way to the final destination. They will eventually produce simple sentences explaining the direction.
In general, students are asked to actively take part in all the individual, pair and group work. They also need to interact with their classmates throughout the class hour.
Teacher’s role: As a facilitator, teacher will help students figure out the way to avoid any
obstacles and finally reach the lesson goal. Teacher will also provide clear instruction so that students have a clear mind map of what to do. Teacher will provide appropriate feedback to anything students react.
