This action research began with the premise of critical need of supporting elementary teacher candidates intheir growth as global citizenship educators who have knowledge, passion and skills to incorporate global citizenship intodaily teaching. Building on the literature on global citizenship education, this action research joins a growing scholarship thatinforms the works to bring a global dimension to teacher education. It explores the nature and extent of globally orientedsocial studies methods course in assisting elementary teacher candidates for global citizenship education.

daily teaching. Building on the literature on global citizenship education, this action research joins a growing scholarship that
