No other country in the world spends more money, time and energy on learning English than Korea does. There was an interesting statistics writer read on a newspaper column the other day. It said in 2008 Korea’s total spending was near 15 trillion won ($ 12 billion) and yet Korea ranked 19th out of 20 countries on the IELTS(International English Language Testing System). It’s almost a bottom! And we ranked 136th out of 161 nations on the TOETL speaking section. This is the side effect and fact we can’t hide from what we’re facing from our past wrong education system.

Experiencing all the “broken English education systems” for years back time in school days, the writer seriously hope to have a revolutionary change in English education system in Korea. Let’s have a look at some of reasons why we couldn’t success in learning English with domestic education.
