Purpose- The purpose of this study is to propose a proper way of communication and a negotiation in different cultural organization based on Hofstede’s cultural dimensions.
Design/methodology/approach- Based on ‘Hofstede’s cultural dimensions hypothesis’, the cluster analysis is used to separate the four delegate country from database of the cultural statistics. The characteristics in C&N (Communication & Negotiation) of main trading partners of S. Korea are predicted with comparison method through radar map.
Findings/value- Each country have specific cultural characteristic in Hofstede’s theory. S. Korea is comparatively tends to avoid ambiguous situations. Also china has the strict seniority organization system. Severe competition and achievement oriented system can stands for the characteristic of Japan. Unlike the previous three countries, U.S.A is the country has strong individualism based on Christian culture.
