본 연구는 지식기반샤회에서 각 사회 구성원에게 요구되는 핵심 역량인 지식창출이 이루어지는 과정과 관련 요인을 규명할 수 었는 실증적 자료를 수집， 분석하학， 향후 이를지원하는 학습환경 구축의 기본 자료로 활용하고자 하는데 그 의의가 있다. 따라서 본연구에서는 지식창출이 과제로 주어진 프로젝트 그룹에 속한 5인의 성 인을 대쌍으로 3개월 간 관찰， 연당， 그랴고 관련 문서 자료를 수집하여， 서술적 통계와 심층적 가술 방법으로 개인의 지삭창출과정과 관련 변인들을 기술하였다. 연구 도구로는 성찰저널， 개념지도， 인터뷰 외에 학습똥기전략 검사지 그리고 초인지 검사지가 활용되었다. 연구 결과는개인의 지식창출 과정에서 행해지는 활동을 정보 습득， 정보 변형， 지식 창출 그리고 모나터링의 네 유형으로 분류하고， 이 과정에 영향을 주는 개인차 변인으로는 개인의 학습전략이 가장 영향력있는 변인으로 규명되었다.

Due to continuous development of digital network technology, information and knowledgehas reen enormously increased quantitatively as well as qualitatively, This current changehas made knowledge, generated by learning activities, the most powerful source of economicsin a knowledge-based society, Therefore, every individual in a knowledge-based societymust obtain an ability of generating knowledge. That means, ability to quickly collect necessaryinformation and transform it into meaningful knowledge for a daily use has Cecome acore ability for every individuaL Current change in a society demands strongly that educationshould allow an individual to 00 an active learner who interprets the environmentalchanges and grants value to generate and construct usable knowlooge.In this paper, the knowledge constructing process has reen investigated. Cognitive learningprocesses and individual differences have reen observed, measured, and analyzed usingqualitative research approaches. Wholistic and extensive deocription of the results has enlightenoothe detailoo knowledge construction process.The results of the research are summarized as follows:First, the result of investigating individual knowledge construction process shows thatknowledge is constructed with the process of acquiring the information from the outsideworld, linking the relevant information with the existing knowledge and being constructedthrough transformation. Futhennore, self-monitoring activities are identified as an importantfactor which activates the knowlooge construction process.Second, the result identifies individual difference factors that influence the knowledge construction.Individual's metacognitive ability, learning strategies and motivation are found tobe the factors influencing the knowledge construction.
