Ⅰ. Introduction
A wave is a mode of energy transfer from one place to another, often with little or no permanent displacement of the particles of the medium (i.e. little or no associated mass transport); instead there are oscillations around almost fixed positions. We have performed many experiments not just oscillation but also projectile motion etc. This experiment is about wave and we are going to search of wave on a string, especially, standing wave. To investigate fundamentals of this motion, we must know density of string. First of all we identify the density, then discover relationship between the frequency of oscillation of the string and the number of segments in the standing wave. And this will help to understand not just about standing wave itself but also principle of music instruments or other application forms.

Ⅱ. Theoretical Basis
When a stretched string is plucked it will vibrate in its fundamental mode in a single segment with nodes on each end.
