Actually there is a long story between GM and Daewoo.
It started in 1972, from buying Daewoo’s 50% of shares, GM decided to expand market in Asia. But after the economic crisis in 1991, GM made a strategic retreat.
However, poor management by the sale of Daewoo crisis, GM in September 2001 at the end of long negotiations to acquire Daewoo screening MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) and in April 2002, has signed this Agreement.
