INTRODUCTIONHuman resource or human capital is probably the most indispensable asset that determines a successful operation of business. As many organizations are expanding and operating globally, there is a greater need to focus on coordinating human resource policies into organizational long term strategies and goals to stay productive and competitive in the market. Of those policies, workforce diversity is undeniably the one of the emerging issues to be handled carefully, in regard to its high sensitivity. Many organizations actually see managing diversity as an opportunity to enhance customer relations, creativity and innovation and sustainable development. However following diversity, there are several challenging problems that would cost very much the organization and harm employee performance, such as discrimination and harassment in serious cases. Managing workforce diversity, to put simply, is identifying various kinds of differences between employees in the workplace and harnessing those unique differences into advantages, and if successfully managed, it will reduce the costs associated with the problems of diversity, and will contribute to higher business performance.
