ABSTRACT
영어 초록
This study is concerned with the development of the textbooks for the national integration after the unification of South and North Korea, Even though it is about the content analysis on the elementary art textbooks of Chochongnyor, the proPyongyang federation of Korean residents in Japan, the results from this study would give a good grasp of North Korean's influences and directions of textbooks on them. Now there have been many studies being done in education about curriculum, textbooks, teaching and learning methods in preparing for the national unification. This study is one of them for suggesting the model of art education as a preliminary one.The purpose of the study is to compare and analyze the educational system and organization and the contents of art textbooks developed in Chochongnyon and Korea in order to enhance the quality of textbooks for the national unification. It would provide some suggestions to help future research on the process of the textbook development.
The study included 1) ethnic education and educational and school condition in Chochongnyon, 2) the content analysis of on elementary art textbooks of grade 1 through 6 in Chochongnyon, and 3) the comparison of art textbooks between Korean and Chochongnyon in external format, content organization, subject matter for expression activities, artworks for art appreciation activities.
In many ways education in Chochongnyon has been supported by North Korea, and reflected its influences on the contents. A study on textbooks in Chochongnyon as well as in North Korea might bring coherent interest and concerns as an educational carrier on our traditional, ethical, and mutual conformity and national homogeneity among us.
The most important thing in comparison studies on examining disparities and homogeneity between two Koreas is to keep open mind and to accept as it were that two Koreas have been maintained as a separate nation for a long time. In addition, there should be no difficulties III collecting current data on Chochongnyon and North Korea in order to execute studies for future unification with full understanding.
