현재 한국은 교육과 관련하여 많은 문제들이 사회적 이슈가 되고 있고 많은 문제들이 학부모단체나 교육관련 단체들에 의해 제기되고 있다. 이런 문제들의 원인은 우리의 교육제도가 대학
입시를 중심으로 움직이고 있다는 것에 있다. 표면적으로는 시대에 맞는 인재를 양성하고 인성
을 개발하는 등의 목표를 제시하고 있기는 하지만 사회적인 풍토나 실질적인 운영 면에서는 오
로지 대학입시라는 한 가지 목표를 위해 교육제도가 움직이고 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다(박의
석, 2003: 1). “서울시 청소년 상담 복지센터에서 지난해 6~8월 시내 98개교 초중고 학생 만1천
714명을 상대로 청소년 위기실태 조사를 한 결과 11.7%는 ‘한 번 이상 친구로부터 따돌림 당한
경험이 있다’고 답했고, 12.8%는 ‘심한 언어폭력을 당한 경험이 있다’고 답하는 등 41.8%의 청소
년이 학교 폭력 피해자인 것으로 추산되었다”(국기헌, 2013.01.07). 이러한 문제는 이제 개인의
문제가 아닌 사회의 문제로 대두되고 있다.
영어 초록
UCurrently, Korea has many problems related to education and those become social issues, and thosehave been raised by parents and education organizations. The cause of this problem in our education
system originated from the university entrance exam. On the surface, the education system reclaims that it
pursue the goal which is cultivating global talent and building an upright character, however, in reality,
the system is moved by the only one goal, the university entrance exam itself in terms of the social
atmosphere and real operation. The biggest problem in the school entrance examination-oriented education
is learning by rote. The opinions and the personality of the students are neglected and many students
except the top-ranked students in the education system fall behind and give up their goal. However, the
students who are in the top-ranked have problems as well. Stress and anxiety due to competition, resulting
in a pessimism, suicide and self-harm, such problems are occurring now.
This problem happens because the fact that the public treats education and life independently. People
can’t apply the things acquired through education to the real life.So alienated from school students have
an interest in the alternative school.
The alternative school‘s educational philosophy doesn’t separate the education and students’ life.
The alienated students are looking for “S” alternative school in order to solve their own problems by
themselves.
The followings can be found in common from the “S” alternative students;
First, a student who want to be far away from existing schools where they got bullying and assault, an
alternative schools give a physical and mental rest in the life of a student wish to
Second, a student who made assault, verbal abuse to his/her friends, and eventually became alienated
from other students, the student is finding the new educational institution.
Third, a student who wants to overcome the education problem such as school entrance exam-oriented
education, the competition.
Fourth, a student who is finding new alternative education school while home schooling.
Finally, a student who wants to be away from the city's oppressive life and be in rural life with his/her
family in nature.
The alienated students became “S” alternative school by a number of the above situation and they
pursued their educational philosophy and willingness. “S” alternative school is composed by the students
have in common who are opposed to the school education system or experienced the problems of school
education occur in a variety or alienated from the other students.
Thus, I’d like to rectify the imbalance of body and mind of the alienated students from society and
school based on the ecological perspective and provide an opportunity to grow up as “a happy child” and
“whole existence” through “dance education”.
