The purpose of this study is to try fine effective approaching method after enforning instruction with two models for reaching game in physical education class for elemenraty students. that is, 'technique-oriented approach' enfored traditionally and 'game for understanding model' emphasizing strategy instead of technical skill. After dividing random sampling ond hundred eightenn of 5th grade students in H elementary school in Taegu into one group applied 'game for understanding model' another group applied 'techique-oriented approach' and the regulated group(the group applied regualr curriculum) I enforced physical instruction ten time, three hours every weeks. I analized the degree of achievement in each domain by ANCOVA. one-way ANOVA. Tukey test and t- test. while class estimation of learners by x2 examination.
The results from these analysis:
1) The domain of function Both
'technique-oriented approach' and 'game for understanding model ' are effective in the personal function for soccer. In the effect of learning. female-students gained high marks in a dribble and male-students in accuracy of shoot and in the degree of achievement of learning. Thus there are some differences of sex. The 'game for understanding model' is more effective than 'technique-oriented approach' in the group function for soccer.
2) The domain of knowledge
Both 'game for understanding model' and 'technique-oriented approach ' are effective in delarative knowledge of soccer. 'Game for understanding model'is more effective in procedual knowledge of soccer.
3) The domain of attitude
Pleasure factor in attitude is more effective to remale group than to male group. Estimation factor in attitude is most effective to male group in the 'game for understanding model' .Value factor in attitude is most effective to female group in the 'game for understanding model'
4) Class estimation of learners
'Game for understanding model' is effective on the development of pleasant physical education because it shows to us significant differences in exercises. improvement, discovery and cooperation. 'Technique-oriented approach' shows to us significant differences in the only improvement and cooperation and all the regulated groups didn't show to us any differences in four aspects.
