MP3 Market in China has been grown very rapidly since 90’s, and in 2006, this industry already entered maturity stage. And year 2008 is forecasted as the peak time for MP3 demand. As the graphs below, with higher online population, nearly 80% of future purchases coming from existing owners, showing that the markets for MP3 players in China has matured more quickly than those in the rest of the world. Compared to other countries, although China is a developing country, MP3 market is already in mature stage.

Roared up around 6.6 million sales in quantity, 54.20% up as compare to 2004, China`s MP3 player market generated a total quantity sales volume of 2.8125 million sets in the first half of 2005, growing by 107.72 percent year on year, with a sales value of 2.211 billion Yuan, up 76.32 percent year on year, according to CCID Consulting
