Cell Phone industry in China
One of the most important markets in any industry takes place in China today. Multi-National Corporations (MNCs) are changing their key strategies to fit business operation in China and doing whatever they can to grab the market that is propelling itself to become the hottest emerging market in the world. Such prospects are supported by China’s mass capacity of land, resources, and human capital (one of the world’s largest populations) which are put together with a strong government; these four compositions induce China to rise up from the past political system and make the country prosper. The same can be applied to the cell phone industry. Cell phones have already become a daily necessity in many developed countries. Prospect is that it will soon become a daily usage appliance in the developing nations as well. So what must foreign companies planning to enter or have already entered China’s cell phone industry do to succeed? In this paper, the answer to that question is examined by analyzing the cell phone industry in China and two foreign companies that have had successful outcomes in China.
