How many times a day do you brush your teeth? Today many people commonly brush three times a day or many times a day. We are doing tooth brushing in our lives. It is within bounds to say that we are always together with toothbrush. Now, I’m going to talk about toothbrush’s history and how the toothbrush changed our dental health and facial expression and toothbrush’s the future.
Before inventing today’s toothbrush people used a twig of the tree or the tree roots. Three-thousand years B.C., Egyptian started to use toothbrush, it was made of a twig of the tree. In the middle of ages, people used the tree roots for brushing people’s teeth; it was a toothbrush for people. The Chinese invented the first toothbrushes about 500 years ago. They were made from pigs’ bristles. (Bender 64) The Chinese used the wiry pigs’ bristles in a cold area. They put some bristles on the animal bones or the twig of bamboo tree.
