The Effects of High Education Level in Korea
Few years ago, a Japanese boy decided to take over his family business, a traditional cookie store which is more than 300years old. Even though he used to be a doctor and his school work was good enough to make the dream comes true, he chose to be a craftsman of traditional cookie to follow his parents. Many Japanese were unstinting in their praise of his choice, and also his parents were so proud of their son. On the other hand, many Koreans were surprised and accepted the news in a whole different way. They thought the boy made a mistake and his parents were selfish. Many Korean tend to consider a job which requires high education level as a good job. Thus, they try to achieve higher level of education than others though there is no clear need to do. There are two big effects of this trend In Korea: the effects on individual and the effects on society.
