많은 사람들이 말하기를 지구환경이 파괴되어가고 있다고 합니다. 그러나 어떤사람들은 문명이 발달할수록(과학발전으로 인해) 더 좋은 환경이 만들어진다고도 하는데요.

거기에 대한 제 생각을 영작으로 쓴 글입니다.

Currently, an angle of the environment is divided into two. One is angle of developing environment and the other is angle of protecting environment. Generally now people develops and destroys our environment for their comfort. Of course some people such as ecoactivist strongly insist that we shouldn`t develop environment anymore and we should protect our nature. But almost people show an inconsistent idea like that: they recognize the importance of protecting environment, but they still develop environment for their comfort and convenience. I introduce you one case about inconsistent idea as stated above.
  The case I introduced is one issue related Chunseong-mountain. In 6, June, 2006, The court of justice in Korea rejected one lawsuit. That time, a lot of people showed interested in that lawsuit. That lawsuit was referred to withdrawal of development of Chunseong-mountain. In fact, a lot of green movements exist in Korea. But almost people have no concern in green movements. So green movements about Chunseong-mountain is special case because it gains a lot of interest to people. A opportunity which gained a lot of interest started one priest named Jiyul. He perform a fast of one hundred days´ duration for announcing crisis of Chunseong-mountain to people. He claim that a lot of endangered species such as salamander lived in Chunseong-mountain, but government destroyed ecosystem of Chunseong-mountain for building a high-speed railroad(KTX) and threatened endangered species` livelihood. Actually Jiyul`s insistence was persuasive enough and many people acknowledged that. But if lawsuit related to protection of Chunseong-mountain had winned the judgement, high-speed railroad(KTX) would not have built and it took people more than 30 minutes to move to Seoul to Busan.
