본문내용
To know how people understand the reality around them, Plato’s “The Allegory of the Cave” could be a good example. Plato assumed some men have been living in the cave from childhood and chained, so that they could not even turn their head, and the wall in front of them was the only thing they could see. There was a parapet behind the prisoners, and a fire was burning above and over the parapet. The light of the fire has made the shadow at the wall when people had passed by between the prisoners and the fire. They would have seen only the shadow, which was made by people or objects that were carried by the people. They believed that the shadow and the echo from the people behind them was reality.
