1) The criteria of critique
- To critique the selected TBLT programs, first of all, I will define the conception of task, need analysis, task types of TBLT, task sequence, task design, pedagogical task, focus on form or meaning, assessment, and teacher's role in TBLT. I also focus on the definition of TBLT itself.
① Definition of tasks
- There are three categories of definition of task, that is, definition of task as learning goals, definition of task as an educational activity, and definition of task as an educational assessment. First, as learning goals, task is an activity in which a person engages in order to attain an objective, and which necessitates the use of language. Second, as an educational activities, there should be a close link between the tasks performed by learners in the language classroom and in the outside world. It also requires combination of focus on meaning and form, demand for learners cognitive resources, and primacy of meaning.
