There are two different perspectives for capital punishment. Some people say capital punishment is necessary to retain this society stable. On the other side, there are people who want capital punishment to disappear on the world. Although these two positions are standing against to each other with tension, there are a lot of countries that are abolishing capital punishment in their law or avoiding to practice. In fact, 109 countries including Canada, Mexico, and all European nations already don’t use capital punishment anymore. In the United States, there was no death penalty execution in lots of states in 2001, for example, New York, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Colorado. Additionally, death penalty is reduced in almost all states in 2001 and 2002 for several reasons that I’m going to present in this paper. The reasons are so reasonable that they would convince everyone who believes capital punishment is needed for the society but don’t consider its serious negative effects. Those are associated with human rights, no deterrence, misjudgment, and arbitrariness. Capital punishment should be abolished because it doesn’t helpful for society at all.
