The purpose of this paper is to investigate effect on maladjusted soldiers' depression, stress, and state hope about stress management program and to be used as basic data
in developing program to reduce stress of maladjusted soldiers' and improve military life
adaptation. For this, the stress management program was conducted for 11 soldiers'
entering the green camp in 00 division from October 14, 2013 to October 16, 2013 and
I carried out a survey of depression, psychosocial stress, worker's stress , and state hope
before and after the program was conducted targeting them.
According to the survey and analysis results, depression(Z= -2.807, p<0.01),
psychosocial stress(Z= -2.937, p<0.01), and worker's stress(Z= -2.936, p<0.01) significantly
decreased and state hope(Z= -2.952, p<0.01) significantly increased before and after the
program was conducted.
In conclusion, it suggests that stress management program works to decrease
maladjusted soldiers' depression and stress and improve state hope. the limitation of this
study is that stress management program except intervention program is not controled
because of the army. In other to implement the vision and green camp program
effectively in the army, the standardized program development and systematic
complement and supply will be demanded. Also, for soldiers' adaptation improvement
in the army life, mental health promotion and combat power improvement through stress management, it is demanded that social workers as professional manpower should be
brought in.
