이 연구의 목적은 대학 전문가와 교사들의 학습공동체 활동이 어떻게 전문교사학습공동체(Professional Learning Community: PLC)로 변화 발전해 나갈 수 있는지 그 활동 과정을 탐색하는데 있다. 이를 위해 참여 연구자의 관찰일지와 녹음 자료 등이 전사된 PLC 모임 기록지, 참여자들이 작성한 성찰일지, 개별 에세이, 디지털교과서 및 스마트교육에 대한 인식 조사 자료, 활동에서 사용된 기타 자료 등이 분석되었다. 분석 방법은 Spradley(1980)가 제안한 기술적 관찰,집중 관찰, 정선 관찰의 단계로 진행되었다. 분석 결과, 스마트교육 PLC 활동 과정은 ‘PLC의 활동 방향과 내용 선정하기’(거리감 없애기, 참여 동기 확인하기, 이전 활동 되돌아보기, 활동방향및 내용 선정하기, 경청하기), ‘스마트교육에 대한 관점 이해하기 1’(집단의 관심 집중시키기,자료 제시 및 이해시키기, 수업 관찰 및 생각 끌어내기, 성찰하기), ‘스마트교육에 대한 관점 이해하기 2’(마음 터놓기, 리더 교사 선정하기, 수업 관찰 및 분석하기, 생각 나누기, 성찰하기),‘스마트교육 공동으로 설계하기’(자료에 대한 주의 집중시키기, 수업지도안 분석하기, 아이디어공유하기, 수업지도안 각색 및 정련하기, 성찰하기, 리더 교사 선정하기), ‘스마트교육에 대한논의 확대하기(집단의 관심 집중시키기, 수업 관찰 및 분석하기, 토론 및 평가하기, 인식 변화검토하기, PLC 활동 경험교환 및 일반화하기)인 것으로 나타났다. 한편 스마트교육 PLC 활동과정에서 나타난 해결 과제는 ‘자발성’, ‘책임감’, ‘운영체계’인 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 개선시킬 수 있는 변화의 동력으로, ‘경청하기’, ‘마음 터놓기’, ‘권한 위임하기’를 도출 및 적용하였다, 이러한 요소들은 참여자들의 PLC 활동에 대한 태도 변화 및 스마트교육 전문성 신장 측면에서 유의미한 가능성과 변화를 이끈 것으로 확인되었다.

영어 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine basic activity process of the smart education in a ProfessionalLearning Community (PLC) of university experts and teachers. In this regard, this study analyzed PLC meetingrecords, which were comprised of transcriptions of observation logs created by participating researchers;participants’ self-examination logs; individual essays; data on participants’ knowledge of digital textbooks andsmart education; and other materials used in community activities. The analysis was conducted according tothe steps proposed by Spradley (1980): descriptive, focused, and selective observation. The results were as follows.First, professional learning community activities were “selecting contents and direction of professional learningcommunity activities” (eliminating the sense of distance, identifying motive for participation, reflecting onprevious activities, selecting activity direction and contents, listening attentively); “understanding smarteducation viewpoints 1” (focusing group interest, presenting materials and elaborating on them, observing classactivities and developing ideas, reflecting); “understanding smart education viewpoints 2” (opening up, selectinga leader teacher, observing class activities and analyzing them, sharing thoughts, reflecting); “designing smarteducation through cooperation” (focusing attention on materials, analyzing the teaching guide, sharing ideas,dramatizing and refining the teaching guide, reflecting, selecting a leader teacher); and “expanding the discussionon smart education” (focusing group interest, observing class activities and analyzing them, discussing andevaluating, reviewing awareness change, generalizing and exchanging experiences of professional learning communityactivities). Second, basic activities for the advancement of substantial smart education can be said to lead tosignificant opportunities and changes in terms of enhancing participants’ smart education professionalism. It wasfound that there were largely three driving forces of change: “listening attentively,” “opening up,” and“delegating authority.” On the basis of these results, this study suggested that spontaneity, responsibility,establishment of an operating system, and measures for support were needed to activate smart educationprofessional learning community meetings.
