본문내용
1. Gini Coefficient
Gini Coefficient , developed by Italian Statistician Corrado Gini, is a statistical dispersion, which represents economic inequality in a nation. It measures the inequality of all values of the distribution-Generally levels of income.
The Gini coefficient is mathematically defined based on Lorenz curve , which is graphical representation of the distribution of income or of wealth. It plots the proportion of the total income of the population (y axis) that is cumulatively earned by the bottom x% of the population. The Gini coefficient can then be represented as the ratio of the area that lies between the absolute equality line-the line at degree 45- and the Lorenz curve (area A) over the total area under the equality line (area of A plus B) So, G = A / (A + B). It is also equal to 2A and to 1 - 2B since A + B = 0.5
Under the premise that all people have non-negative income, the Gini coefficient can theoretically range from 0 (complete equality) ......<중 략>
