Most people wouldn`t walk into a meeting and dominate the conversation. They do not cut people off in the middle of sentences. Yet even well-meaning people can do the online equivalent of these things. these people could use a lesson in "netiquette."
Netiquette is a collection of informal rules that apply to people who "talk" to each other through personal computers. Think of these rules as etiquette for the Internet. Through e-mail, news groups, and chat rooms, the Internet puts you in touch with a worldwide community. Etiquette is important in any community-online or in person. You`re more likely to be accepted in a community when you know the unspoken rules and remember how people like to be treated.
