We can see a few instances of Izime phenomenon around us easily. I have often seen it in our school. Fortunately, it is not so serious but it can become greater, I think. What is important is that "Izime" calls for suicide and school violence. In fact, a few weeks ago, I heard that a student who is so negative and has physical defect killed himself because of alienation from his classmates. And many dance group sang a song about it. For example, the popular group H.O.T sang a song named "A Descendant Of A Fighter". In this song, H.O.T emphasized no violence, especially school violence.
According to the report written by a professor in university, recently one out of four junior high and high school students experienced violence at their school. The report said that in the case of boy students, one out of three and with girl students, one out of ten experienced school violence on the street and even in the classroom after school. So in Japan, they protect the students with a few bodyguard on their way to school and home. What we are upset about is this is experienced in lower-aged groups as time goes by.
