Stimuli & Nerve fibers & Nociceptors
1. Painful cold (<10°C) by polymodal C fib.
2. Skin cooling (16-30°C) by Aδ fibers
Warm stimuli (34-42°C) by C fibers
3. Painful heat (>44°C) by Aδ fib.
4. Sharp, pinch pain by Aδ & mech. nociceptors

Classifications
1. A α,β - large myelinated fibers, fast conduction (36-120m/s)
2. A δ - thinly myelinated, slow conduction (3-30m/sec)
3. C- unmyelinated & smallest dia., very slow conduction (0.1-2.5m/s)
Receptors
