he reason that I choose Sri Lanka
Last spring semester, I found meaningful volunteer activity. That is Korean -Dowoomi. Dowoomi means volunteer who teaches Korean language, Korean culture to foreign exchange student in Korea. I interested this work because I can develop my English speaking skill and sociality. I applied for Dowoomi and I was chosen. My mentee was a Sri Lankan man. He was twenty years old and His name is Dilan. At that time, I didn't know anything about Sri Lanka. Dilan speaks English well, so we communicate each other by English. I taught him Korean and Korean culture. Sometimes, he told me about Sri Lankan culture and Sinhala (Sri Lankan language).
We met 1 or 2 days a week. We traveled around famous restaurants in Seoul because he liked eating very much. We shared knowledge of each country's food and evaluated taste. Dilan often told me Sri Lankan food culture so I knew it naturally. I'll write this report with these experience. I'll show the characteristics of Sri Lankan food and Korean food.
