Postmodernism has had strong effects on various cultures, such as Literature, architecture and art. According to Aylesworth, The fact that postmodernism is vague is obvious. But, postmodernism could be portrayed as “a set of critical, strategic and rhetorical practices employing concepts such as difference, repetition, the trace, the simulacrum, and hyperreality to destabilize other concepts such as presence, identity, historical progress, epistemic certainty, and the univocity of meaning.” (Aylesworth). Postmodernism in literature is about irrationality and uncertainty. It is quite different from modernism. From that perspective, Maus which was drawn by Art Spiegelman who is a son of Holocaust survivor from the period of World War, is one of the best postmodern works for some reasons in recent days. Postmodern factors that are used into Maus are as followings: memory, uncertainty, a way of drawing and feelings.참고 자료
