PCM is the most commonly used form of digital transmission.
PCM use binary number 0 or 1.

Ex) Natural Sample signal : 1.3V
Quantization signal : 1.5V

CCITT standardized the 32Kbps ADPCM to G.721. (G.721 = 32Kbps ADPCM)
G.721 is based on the ADPCM encoding the difference between the signal.
After that ITU-T recommended the G.721.
CCITT : International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee.
ITU-T : International Telecommunications Union Telecommunication.
