This chapter will teach us what to teach, how to structure, how to approach, and what to consider in selecting texts in the second language course. First, teachers must set the goals for the course which the reading abilities that students should develop during the course. And teacher should already know students` needs, interests, and abilities. Students` need is recognizing that the contents of text are needed to them. And if the students is interested in the contents of text, they would be motivated and the reading process would go well. Also, the reading text level should be in students` language proficiency range. But actually the parameters of students` language proficiency range are likely to vary even within one class. Different levels may need to study different skills
